The Mattlerbusch Recreational Park in Duisburg, known as “Revierpark Mattlerbusch”, covers an area of 40 hectares, which is the size of about 57 soccer fields.

Information on accessibility
There are a total of eight disabled parking spaces near the main entrance of the “Revierpark Gysenberg”. Please note that the five disabled parking spaces at the "R" are not directly connected to the pavement.
If you prefer to use public transportation, the bus stop "Duisburg Niederrhein Therme" for bus lines 906 and 907 is located near the park entrance. The large “R” can serve as a useful landmark for your orientation.
Please find a tactile and accessible park overview board at the entrance. It will help you get an overview of the park. An accessible restroom can be found in the riding farm Alsbachtal. The restaurant “Brauhaus Mattlerhof” is also easily accessible without steps.
The “Niederrhein Therme” is located in the centre of “Revierpark Mattlerbusch”. Visitors can admire the salt graduation house from the outside and breathe in the healthy "seaside air".
Kilometres of footpaths amidst old tree stands invite you to relax, which is also beneficial for your health! If you want to be active, enjoy the sports activities on the basketball court or the large meadows, or play a game of table tennis or boules. The nature and animal education centre, an inclusive equestrian farm, offers optimal conditions for leisure activities as well as special support and therapy with the help of horses.
Throughout the park, there are many benches and tables that are accessible form the side and underneath. The pathways are mainly made of a water-bound surface and have a clear visual distinction form the surrounding vegetation.
If you wish to visit the adventure playground, you will find play equipment that is accessible without steps. Some playground equipment can be reached via ramps framed by wheel deflectors. They offer certain elements that can be driven under. The ground surface is made of wood chips. The largest play equipment is accessible in the upper area via a ramp (>10%) and further along the upper path there is a lower gradient (>6%) with a sound play feature.
The lower area is accessible by a flat ramp (>6%) and includes more tactile elements. There is also a swing set with a nest swing.
Assistance dogs are welcome in the park. Due to the complex pathways, we recommend blind guests to visit the park with a sighted companion.
