Accessibility in Vonderort

The Vonderort Recreational Park in Oberhausen, known as “Revierpark Vonderort”, covers an area of 32 hectares, which is the size of about 45 soccer fields.
To ensure a comfortable visit, here is some helpful information accessibility for you.
Information on accessibility
The park is divided by Bottroper Straße. It is accessible by bus line 91. The bus stop "Revierpark Vonderort" is located on Bottroper Straße, between the two sections of the park.
Disabled parking spaces are located in the immediate vicinity to the entrance areas. Tactile park overview maps can be found at the entrance area near the lage “R” and in front of the lei-sure house. There is a restaurant behind the leisure house.
The western half of the park, including saline bath, outdoor swimming pool and sauna, is located on a rising terrain. It offers various sports activities such as trend sports, fun sports and boules in the upper area.
The “Buchen-Loop” is an educational trail that traverses both sections of the park and consists of 9 stations providing information about the beech forest.
The terrain on the eastern side of the park (near the leisure house) slopes slightly downward from the park entrance. The lower part of the park can be reached via a long incline of up to 6% or a staircase. Here you find various play facilities, a pavilion and a large recreational lawn.
The main pathways in “Revierpark Vonderort” are predominantly paved, made of asphalt or a water-bound surface which is easy to walk on and roll over. The main pathways are easy to recognise.
WC facilities are located behind the entrance to the “Solbad” and near the water playground.
Assistance dogs are welcome in the park. Due to the complex pathways, visually impaired guests are recommended to visit the park with a sighted companion.
